James Morrison Traditional Music Festival

The annual James Morrison Traditional Music Festival is held in Riverstown and commemorates the musical genius of Sligo's James Morrison and his contemporaries. Born in Drumfin near Riverstown, Co. Sligo, he emigrated to America in 1915 and died in New York in 1917.

This years festival, the 17th, takes place between 31st July and 2nd August 2009

O'Carolan International Harp Festival

The renowned O'Carolan International Harp Festival takes place every year in Keadue and commences on the August Bank Holiday. This ten day event of Irish music and culture, features traditional music concerts, sessions and workshops, craft demonstrations and exhibitions, side by side with the International Harp Competition, School and Recitals. The festival is a must for anyone interested in Irish tradition or music.
